One seeing 'The Frontier' (movie review)

This movie is set in undefined period, though by fashion, cars, hairstyle, it seems mid-70s or earlier, is modern Neo-noir or pulp fiction brought to life. Not cool, not self-aware, like that other guy, who celebrates violence for comic moments. Basically one set, the rundown motel The Frontier, it is showcase for acting talents. Plot is heist, murder(s), without anyone too good, too clean. The plot relies some on coincidence but not annoyingly. Plot is fairly straightforward and not difficult or surprising unless you are new to this genre. Interesting that it is women who have best parts. Way to pass time.
