there is the game itself, but much of the pleasure of the event is in anticipation, in delay, even if you are not following details of the teams, the strategies, the various players, coaches, expectations, but simply waiting. I can cheer for one team over the other according to the storyline but those stories change according to who is telling it. in this case, best, both sides have arguments for hoping- Cincinnati has never won, falling twice before, over thirty years ago- Los Angeles has been built for this game, star players, home field etc...
so I cheer for Cincinnati, partly because they are built through the draft, not bought, partly because this might be their best chance in years, in conference including powerful quarterbacks in other major teams like Kansas City, Buffalo, Baltimore, perhaps Jacksonville...
at any rate, I hope for a good game...
